Last week I talked about my favorite Firefox add-on for viewing the Google PageRank, Alexa rank and backlink data from any website, called Search Status.
This week I want to talk about another useful extension for this same purpose, called SEOQuake.
I like Search Status because it is very simple to use, but it you want to gather as much data as possible from websites, then SEOQuake is a must, because it comes with many more features.
Once you install it you’ll be able to view a wide range of SEO parameters on the fly, on a separate toolbar. How many parameters are? A lot, here is the list:

You can customize the add-on to display or hide any of these parameters. It recommended that you use only some of them at a time (say 5 or 6), else you’ll find the script gets slow, and you might also get blocked from search engines temporarily (i.e., the data will stop showing).
Another very cool feature SEOQuake has is the ability to output these parameters right in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). That is, when you perform a search for a keyword, you’ll see the parameters displayed right below each web page that will appear in the results. Here is a screenshot of that:

Overall it is a really nice add-on. Personally I don’t leave it active all the time, because it slows down the navigation of search engines, but I use whenever I am researching a new niche or performing keyword research. Check it out if you haven’t used it in the past.
